1909 - Construction (as per county tax records) Builder unknown, but probably P.A. Cowgill (see below). This is one of the very first, if not the first home built in the area.
1912 - Beaumont Subdivision - House occupies lot 5 & part of 6. See Plat Map - home location is starred.
1914 - P.A. Cowgill, Owner - It is quite likely that Cowgill built this house as a rental, a common practice in the post Lewis & Clark Exhibition boom. Cowgill's residence in 1914 is listed as 3325 NE 44th on the top of the Alameda Ridge. His occupation is listed as "salesman". It also notes he is Secretary of the Portland Board of Realtors. Another theory is that Cowgill built the 1909 house as his residence, but by 1914 he had "moved up" to the other house on the hill - a bungalow similar to the 1909 house, but one-half again as large. The area surrounding the house is still vacant and will predominantly stay this way until the 20's. All lots are owned by the "Rose City Improvement Association".
1927 - H.F. Ambrose buys lot to the south.
1930-34 - Herman & Jennie Wexler occupy. Herman is a "drugless physician" with offices in the Columbia Building downtown.
1935-36 - House is Vacant. (This wasn't uncommon during the Depression.)
1937-41 - Fred & Ruth Huber occupy. Fred is a bookkeeper for R.C.I.A. (Rose City Improvement Association)
1941-43 - Charles Johnston occupies. He is an auditor for State Tax Commission.
1943 - Victor & Ada Z. Wiglesworth occupy.
1949 - Myron Daum is a border at the Wiglesworth house. He drives a 1936 Ford. Ada Wiglesworth owns a 1939 Plymouth.
1950 - Victor Wiglesworth becomes a salesperson for Davis Realty. Daum no longer listed.
1960 - Victor Dies. Widow Ada Z. Wiglesworth remains in house until 1964.
1965 - Edw. & Judy Weber. He starts out as an apprentice carpenter with Wood-Craft. 1968 he becomes a draftsman with the United State Forest Service. In 1970 he is a civil engineer for the BPA.
1972 - Samuel & Betty Craven. He is an office manager for Pope & Talbot.
1976 - Samuel becomes
Purchasing Director for Pope & Talbot.
